Kindergarten is such an exciting time for children! It is a year of
so much growth and change. It is exciting for us, as teachers, to witness all of
this over the course of the year.
Our
year focuses on academic readiness skills for math and reading, the love Jesus has for
each of us in religion, and learning to get along with one another as we mature
socially. We practice the alphabet by learning how to write letters and recognize
their sounds. We also learn sight words. For math, we practice counting, writing numbers, and
even learning to add and subtract in the spring. Developing fine motor
skills is also an important part of our curriculum.
