Rooted and grounded in love - our faith, our marriages, our families. To be rooted in the love of Christ is to be firmly planted on the Ultimate Foundation. When we are firmly rooted, we can reach greater heights and bear more fruit. When our marriages are firmly rooted, our families have greater potential to soar. When our families are soaring, we are building the kingdom of God and are more open to be filled with God’s graces.

About Rooted in Love
Rooted in Love, St. Joseph’s marriage fellowship, is a simple gathering place for couples to come together and invest intentional time to enliven and enrich our marriages. Whether you have been married for four months or forty years, we are all on this journey of love together.
Goals of this ministry are to enrich marriages and help each of us realize the gift we have in our spouse, discover and commit to ways to improve our marriage regardless of where it is at today, and build faith and fellowship within our parish. Rooted in Love’s Ministry Team will host three gatherings each fall and spring. Each meeting will consist of socializing and fellowship, content presentation/discussion, followed by takeaways and wrap-up. Meetings will be held from 8:00-9:15 on Monday evenings. Beer, wine, and soda will be offered.
Please join us on the designated Mondays at 8:00 pm in Resurrection Hall. Let’s journey together as a parish family to allow Jesus to deepen our roots of love in our hearts and homes.
FAQs
- Is the marriage initiative focused on younger, more newly married couples?
All marriages are dynamic and require continuous attention and nurturing. We are all on a journey and are stronger together, building each other up. Throughout the various seasons of life, married couples experience different challenges and these themes and related discussion between you and your spouse can always be beneficial. In addition, marriages that have more experience may be able to offer perspectives to others.
- Will I be forced to speak in a larger group or share specifics of my marriage?
The first part of each meeting will be open to casual friendship and fellowship, followed by a panel or other speakers. Though there may be some small-table conversation at the end of the meeting, no individual should feel obligated to share.
- If we miss a meeting or join late, can we still participate?
All married couples are invited to any or all meetings. The meetings aren’t part of a series that require attendance at all meetings to keep up or be involved. The topics are provided as themes for the speakers and takeaways for you and your spouse following the meeting.
- Is this limited to parishioners of St. Joseph?
It is hosted by St. Joseph but it is open to couples within other parishes as well. All married couples have something to be gained as well as offer to others.
